At least one person has died in a gas cylinder explosion at one of Moscow's most famous toy stores, Russian state news agencies reported.
The explosion occurred at the Central Children's Store, known to Russians for generations as the Children's World. The store is located on the famous Lubyanka Square, in the immediate vicinity of the headquarters of the Federal Security Service (FSB), the agency that inherited the KGB from the Soviet era.
The entire building, which in addition to the toy store houses other stores, numerous restaurants and a cinema, was immediately evacuated, media confirmed. According to the first unofficial information published by the Telegram channel Mash, a helium cylinder exploded.
