Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in separate talks with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and outgoing President Joe Biden, thanked both for their help in securing a ceasefire in Gaza and for agreeing to release hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.Netanyahu's office said Netanyahu spoke first with Trump and then with Biden on Wednesday night. The Israeli prime minister "commended the U.S. president-elect for his statement that the United States will work with Israel to ensure that Gaza is never a haven for terrorism," his office said in a statement, adding that the two politicians "have decided to meet soon in Washington to discuss this and other important issues."The description of the conversation with outgoing President Joe Biden was shorter.
