Health authorities have registered at least 64 deaths and 278 injuries in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported today.
Including today's death toll, the number of Palestinian casualties since the start of the Israeli invasion of the Palestinian enclave in October 2023 has reached 62,686, with at least 157,951 more injured, most of them women and children, according to the WAFA website.
After a two-month ceasefire on March 18, 10,842 deaths and 45,910 injuries have been confirmed.
"Emergency services are still unable to reach many victims and bodies trapped under rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, while Israeli occupation forces continue to target emergency and civil defense teams," health authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza said.
