The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of the 448th missile brigade of the Russian army in the Kursk region, which carried out a missile attack on the city of Sumy, UNN reports.

Recall that two Russian ballistic missiles hit the very center of the northern Ukrainian city on Sunday, killing at least 34 people and wounding 117. According to Ukrainian officials, this is the deadliest attack on Ukraine this year.

"The permanent base of the 448th missile brigade of the Russian occupiers was particularly hit, and a secondary detonation of ammunition was also recorded. The results of the attack are still being determined. Every Russian military formation and their soldiers who shell peaceful cities and civilians of Ukraine will be identified and will certainly experience retaliation. Targeted combat action against important military facilities of the Russian occupiers will continue until the cessation of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country," the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army warns.
