Students in the blockade called on the University of Belgrade to radicalize

The students in the blockade appealed to the University of Belgrade to come forward with more radical measures of resistance in a form that the University considers adequate so that "now, synchronously, students and representatives of the University, come forward as a homogeneous body that fights for the honor and dignity of the academic community and together to restore the University's deserved credibility".

"We, the students in the blockade, most strongly condemn the statements, insults, slander and threats that were directed at our rector Vladan Đokić and our deans of higher education institutions. We also condemn the changes to the Regulation on the norms and standards of working conditions of the University and faculties for activities financed from the budget, believing that this move directly threatens the unity of teaching and scientific research activities", stated the students in the blockade.

They also condemned the slander and physical attack on the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, Natalija Jovanović.

"We condemn all attempts to intimidate the University! Such actions by public office holders require an immediate response! If the state were a body, education would be the basic unit of structure and function of a healthy body, students would be the heart, and the University would be the brain that drives everything. Unfortunately, we are witnesses to the underestimation and propaganda that has been spreading throughout society in recent days, which unequivocally undermines the credibility and autonomy of the University, as well as the freedom of expression of opinion of all members of the academic community," the students stated.
