Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Belgrade today. Vučić stressed that he is proud of his friendship with Orban and the "best relations in Serbian-Hungarian history".

On his Instagram profile, Vučić wrote that he had a "cordial and friendly meeting" with Orban and that they are having "full-day consultations in Belgrade" today, during which a "strategic dialogue on four important topics" will be held.

These are, as he stated, the geopolitical situation and foreign policy, the economy and improvement of relations between the two countries, cooperation in the sphere of defense and security, as well as in military-industrial production, and the partnership between Serbia and Hungary in all other areas.

Along with the announcement, he shared a joint video with Orban in which he said: "Viktor is much more than a friend. Thank you for everything". Orban then addressed the meeting in English.

"I don't understand Serbian, so I don't know what my friend Vučić said, but I believe that everything he said is correct. I trust him one hundred percent, even though I don't know a single word of his language," said the Hungarian Prime Minister, after which the two leaders shook hands warmly.
