Iran reserves the right to all options for self-defense after the US bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced on the X platform, stressing that the US attacks are "outrageous" and will have "lasting consequences".
The Iranian minister stated that the US, as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, committed a grave violation of the United Nations declaration by attacking Iranian nuclear facilities.
Iran announces a "legitimate response"
"This morning's events are outrageous and will have lasting consequences. Every member of the UN must be alarmed by this very dangerous and criminal lawlessness," Araqchi stressed.
Iran reserves the right to all options to defend its sovereignty, its interests and its people, in accordance with the United Nations Declaration and the provisions that allow a legitimate response in self-defense, the Iranian minister concluded.
As a reminder, US forces bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities early this morning, US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday, stressing that the operation was successful and that the facilities were "totally destroyed".
