Ismet Delić from Zenica has been fighting for his rights for a long time, which are being denied by the competent institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The state for whose freedom he bled for four years, today denies all his rights, including hers, with his bare life. Although he was an active participant in the liberation-homeland war in the period from 18.05.1992. to 05.02.1996., as a result of his participation in the war, his health was permanently and severely damaged, which caused permanent and severe disability. Due to a severe form of gangrene, Ismet is now almost immobile and unable to take care of himself independently. Despite having complete documentation, the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have repeatedly rejected his request for someone else's care and other income from the social protection sector.
The question arises whether this is how Bosnia and Herzegovina thanks its fighters, those who died and shed blood for its freedom. Have the fighters become a burden on the state, which would not exist without these fighters?
Those who are at the head of institutions today and who treat those without whom the state would not exist today in this way deserve nothing but contempt. These and other leaders, steeped in nepotism, corruption and organized crime, squander state property and have enormous problems thanks to taxpayers' money, while these same taxpayers live on the brink of poverty and are unable to provide themselves and their loved ones with even the basic necessities of life.
We hope that the day will soon come when the criminals who run the state institutions will be in the KP home of Zenica where they belong, and that Ismet Delić and thousands of other fighters and their descendants will finally live a life worthy of a human being, and that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina will pay respect to those who fought so that it could exist and be free today.
