The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a new wave of strikes on Tehran and western Iran has begun.
Israeli Air Force fighter jets are carrying out a new wave of strikes on Iranian military sites in Tehran and western Iran, the IDF said, according to the Times of Israel.
IDF spokesman Brigadier General Efi Defrin said at a press conference that the possibility of Iran moving its enriched uranium from damaged or destroyed sites to other locations is being closely monitored, following Iran's earlier announcement that it had moved enriched uranium from the Fordow nuclear facility to other locations, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Iran said the country's air defenses were active in Tehran, Tabriz, Shiraz and Ahvaz, while Iranian news websites reported a large explosion heard in the western city of Kermanshah.
