US President Donald Trump said tonight that a "very successful attack" had been carried out on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including the one in Fordow.
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump added: "All planes are safely on their way home" and congratulated "the great American warriors".
At the end of the post, he said: "Now is the time for peace".
According to him, this morning's US bombing completely destroyed three Iranian nuclear facilities, Natanz, Esfahan and Fordow.
"Either there will be peace or there will be a much greater tragedy for Iran than what we have witnessed in the past eight days", Trump said in a speech at the White House, calling Iran "the bully of the Middle East".
"If peace does not come soon, we will attack other targets with precision, speed and skill," Trump added.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a press conference in which he condemned the US attacks and said that Donald Trump had deceived his own voters by promising to "no longer interfere in the 'eternal wars'".
"Although President Trump was elected because he promised to end America's costly involvement in the eternal wars in our part of the world, he has betrayed not only Iran by abusing our commitment to diplomacy, but he has also deceived his own voters," Araghchi said, describing Trump and the US as "thugs who do not respect the law."
The Iranian foreign minister also warned the world that "silence will push the world into unprecedented danger and chaos," and called for broader condemnation of the US attacks.
Iran must not get the bomb
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on X that with tensions in the Middle East reaching a new high, stability must be the priority.
"Now is the time for Iran to engage in finding a credible diplomatic solution. The negotiating table is the only place to end this crisis," she said.
EU Council President Antonio Costa posted on X: "I call on all parties to show restraint and respect for international law and nuclear security. Diplomacy remains the only way to bring peace and security to the Middle East region. Too many civilians will once again be victims of further escalation."
Israeli President Herzog Speaks
Israeli President Isaac Herzog called US President Donald Trump's attack on Iran "historic." He added that Trump's words demonstrate the "deep and courageous alliance" between the US and Israel.
But he also warns that "the campaign is not over," adding that "the coming days could be sensitive, complex and challenging," and urges Israelis to continue to follow the orders of the authorities that will save their lives, the BBC reports.
Kaja Kallas, the EU's foreign policy chief, expressed the view that Iran should not be allowed the right to use nuclear weapons. She called on all parties to reduce tensions and return to negotiations to resolve the problem.
"EU foreign ministers will discuss the situation tomorrow," Kallas wrote.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on Iran to return to the negotiating table and said regional stability remained a priority, according to a Downing Street statement on Sunday, following US strikes on three major Iranian nuclear facilities, while NATO said it was "monitoring the situation" and the EU also called for talks.
"Iran's nuclear programme poses a serious threat to international security. Iran must never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, and the US has taken steps to mitigate that threat," Starmer said in a statement.
"We call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis," he said.
In the last few minutes, the IDF announced that the Israeli air force had launched a "wave of strikes on military targets in western Iran."
This comes after Iran fired missiles at Israel following a US strike on three of its nuclear facilities.
The IDF says the air force struck missile launchers in Iran targeting Israel, the sites from which the missiles were just launched, as well as "soldiers in the Iranian military forces."
Iran writes to UN, requests emergency Security Council meeting
Iran has written to the UN and requested an emergency Security Council meeting. The letter, by Amir Saeed Iravani, follows up on Iran's previous letters to the UN.
"I am writing to you on the instructions of my Government to urgently draw the attention of Your Excellency and the members of the United Nations Security Council to the serious threat to regional and international peace and security arising from the unlawful use of force by the United States against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran," the letter reads.
It goes on to call the attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities "deliberate, premeditated, and unprovoked" and allege that Israel possesses nuclear weapons.
In light of what they called the "barbaric and criminal actions of the US", they asked the Security Council to convene an emergency meeting without delay.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF): Iran launched retaliatory strikes
The Israeli military said Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Israel this morning. It was the first Iranian response since the US attack overnight.
"These are the first missiles in almost 30 hours, so this has been an unexpected calm period compared to the last eight or nine days," said Sky News' Middle East correspondent Alistair Bunkall.
"After the US attack overnight, this is the first Iranian response, I think I saw three missiles over our heads," he added.
The Israeli Airports Authority said Israeli airspace was closed to all flights, Reuters news agency reported.
It said land crossings with Egypt and Jordan remained open.
