U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance has arrived in Greenland. His first sentence immediately caught attention.
"It’s f*cking cold here," was his opening remark.
He added that "the flight was really nice" and that they "flew over some pretty cool places." He also emphasized that he is the first vice president to ever visit Greenland. He mentioned that he will meet with the National Security Advisor to talk to soldiers and receive a briefing about the activities at the Thule Air Base.
"We will talk about that. As you’ve heard, the Trump administration had a certain interest in Greenland. We’ll discuss it with our friends in the media. The president is really interested in Arctic security. As you know, it's quite an important topic, and in the coming years, it will only become more important," he said.
