US envoy Steve Witkoff said today that US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will discuss Ukraine this week, following Washington's proposal for a ceasefire.
"There's still a lot to discuss, but I think the two presidents will have a really good and positive conversation this week," Witkoff told US television network CNN.
Witkoff added that "Moscow, Kiev and Washington want this whole thing to end."
A 30-day ceasefire was proposed during recent talks between Ukrainian and US delegations in Saudi Arabia.
