The conflict between Israel and Iran has been going on for the fifth day. The Israeli army is attacking Iranian military and nuclear targets, including missile launch ranges. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards claim to have hit Israeli intelligence centers in Tel Aviv.

We will continue the developments related to the conflict between Israel and Iran in live reporting, which you can follow at the link below.

Iran announces "punitive" attacks on Israel

The residents of Tel Aviv and Haifa have been ordered to evacuate again.

On state television, in a video address broadcast today, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Abdolrahim Mousavi, called on the residents of the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa to evacuate "for their own safety," warning of upcoming "punitive" attacks.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard claims to have targeted Israeli military bases

"In this new wave of attacks, a major missile operation was carried out against the air bases of the Zionist regime's army - bases from which fighter jets take off to our beloved country," the Revolutionary Guard said in a statement broadcast on state television today.

Israel prepares airlift to repatriate citizens from abroad

"The first phase was to move all Israeli planes out of the country so that they would not be damaged, because then we would be left without the ability to repatriate people. That phase has been completed," Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev said during a visit to the site of one of the Iranian missile strikes in central Israel.

"The next step is the gradual return of Israeli citizens," she added.

She said there are between 100,000 and 150,000 Israeli citizens abroad, and her cabinet has also opened a “sea route” from Cyprus and Greece.

Israeli airline El Al, which announced the suspension of all flights on Friday, said today that it is planning “evacuation flights” starting Wednesday. The planes will depart from Larnaca (Cyprus), Athens, Rome and Milan (Italy), as well as Paris.

More than 2,700 people evacuated from their homes in Israel

At least 2,725 people in Israel have had to leave their homes since the latest conflict with Iran began last week, according to the Government Press Office (GPO).

According to government figures, the death toll in Israel remains at 24, while more than 647 people have been injured, with at least 10 in serious condition.

Iran and Israel have been exchanging attacks for the fifth day. At least 224 people have been killed in Iran since hostilities began on Friday, when Israel carried out unprecedented strikes on Iran's nuclear program and military leaders.

Iran tells British lawmakers: We don't want a nuclear bomb

Iran's ambassador to the UK insisted his country has no intention of building nuclear weapons, during a debate with lawmakers today.

Seyyed Ali Mousavi told the British parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee that Iran's nuclear program is "exclusively peaceful", stressing: "There is no desire, nor any intention to build a nuclear bomb".

His comments come less than a week after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) condemned Iran for failing to meet its non-proliferation obligations, which are aimed at preventing the development of nuclear weapons.

Tehran is said to have enriched uranium to 60%, just a technical step below the 90% level considered military standard.

Israeli military intercepts most of Iranian rockets fired at Israel

The Israeli military said it had intercepted most of the rockets fired by Iran toward Israel this afternoon.

"Iran fired several rockets toward the State of Israel. Most of them were intercepted," the Israeli military said in a statement.

Israel's Magen David Adom, its counterpart to the Red Cross, reported no injuries.

Merc: Israel has "courage" to do "dirty work for all of us" by attacking Iran

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said today that Israel has the "courage" to do "dirty work for all of us" by attacking Iran, whose rule "brings death and destruction around the world."

Without the Israeli strikes, "we could endure months and years of terror from that regime, which might even succeed in obtaining an atomic bomb," Merz told ZDF television during the G7 summit.

"The attacks of the past few days have already significantly weakened this mullah regime, and it is unlikely that it will return to its former strength. That is why the future of the country is uncertain," the German leader added in an interview with Welt TV, also during the summit in Canada.

Israel's alert level lowered, people can leave shelters

The highest alert level has been lifted in some parts of Israel, allowing the population to leave shelters.

"After assessing the situation, the Home Front Command has issued a directive that it is now permitted to leave shelters," the Israeli army said, less than fifteen minutes after sirens sounded in several parts of the country.

Sirens sounded in Tel Aviv

Sirens in Tel Aviv and northern areas of Israel were heard after missile attacks from Iran.

"A short time ago, sirens were sounded in several regions of Israel due to missile launches from Iran towards Israeli territory," the Israeli army said. The sounding of the sirens means that the population is being urged to take shelter in safe places.

"The air force is now trying to intercept and attack targets wherever necessary to eliminate the threat," the army said in a statement.

Explosions in Isfahan

Explosions are heard in Isfahan, central Iran.

"Multiple explosions were heard in the eastern and northern parts of Isfahan, and air defenses were activated to confront enemy targets," the Mehr news agency reported this afternoon, as military tensions between Iran and Israel escalate.

Isfahan, a large city in central Iran, is home to a uranium enrichment center.

Portugal temporarily closes embassy in Tehran

Due to the "seriousness of the current situation", Portugal has decided to temporarily close its embassy in Tehran, Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel announced in Lisbon.

"These closures are temporary, the embassy will be transferred to another country where we have a diplomatic presence, and as soon as possible, the embassy will reopen," he explained to local media during a parliamentary debate.

Trump wants a "real end" to the nuclear dispute with Iran

US President Donald Trump said he wanted a "real end" to the nuclear dispute with Iran and hinted at the possibility of sending senior US officials to talks with the Islamic Republic, as tensions between Israel and Iran continued for a fifth day in a row.

Speaking to reporters after leaving Canada, where he was attending the Group of Seven summit, Trump said he did not expect Israel to ease its attacks on Iran.

“You’ll find out in the next two days. You’ll find out. So far, nobody has slowed down,” Trump said.

Asked if Khamenei was also a target, a senior Israeli military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “I don’t think it would be wise for me to talk about future operations.”

Khamenei’s inner circle, according to Israeli claims, has been seriously weakened, and Israel’s frequent strikes on Iranian targets indicate broader ambitions – possible regime change.
